Finding Your Best Prospects: Beyond the Wealth Screening

Join Catherine for a fast-paced, interactive session that will help you sort through your big list of prospects to create a targeted list of potential major donors.  If any of the following sound familiar, then this session is for you:

  • You recently conducted a wealth screening, but aren’t sure how to operationalize that to get to the real potential in your pool.
  • You have loyal donors who have been giving modest gifts for years, but you are not sure which ones have the potential to give you more.
  • You know you need to be spending more time with your donors one-on-one, but in such a small shop how do you prioritize and figure out who to see first?
  • You have loyal major gift donors, but they are the same group of people year after year.  They won’t be with you forever.  How do you assure new donors join this group?
  • Oh, and you probably don’t have a Prospect Research department at your fingertips, handing you qualified leads…

Spend time learning how to capitalize on all your resources, from wealth screening data, donor histories and board/volunteer connections to design a major gifts prospecting plan that works. You will leave this workshop with tools you can apply immediately when you get back to your office to help you discover who among your donors has the capacity to help you create even greater change in the world.

About the Presenter:

Catherine has served as a development and marketing leader in the Portland area since 1985, creating success for organizations large and small in multiple sectors.  She excels at creating innovative strategies, and inspiring volunteers and boards to achieve audacious goals.  Catherine has worked with volunteers and boards at organizations of all sizes, raising millions of dollars to help address issues of hunger and homelessness, find cures to cancer and heart disease, and educate our next generation of leaders.  Much of her career was spent in higher education where she helped create successful annual and capital campaigns at organizations including the University of Portland, Pacific University and Lewis & Clark College.

Catherine has a passion for improving our community.  “It is a gift to be in a profession where I help connect committed donors with organizations that are creating positive change, whether that is curing cancer, housing the homeless or enhancing the cultural fabric of the community. And I know that anything is possible when we align our energies in common purpose!” she says.

When she is not helping her clients achieve their fundraising dreams, Catherine is often found hiking, skiing, or traveling.  If she is not off on an adventure, she is probably at her Bald Peak, Oregon home sitting at her spinning wheel, at her loom, in her dye studio or curled up with her knitting.
